Ubuntu/POP!_OS Software Installation Script This script automates the installation of various software packages on Ubuntu/POP!_OS. It installs the following software with the -y flag for automatic yes responses:
- Chrome
- Brave
- VS Code
- Docker Desktop & all its Engines (starts on boot)
- Git
- GNOME Tweak Tool
- npm
- DDEV
- Node.js
- Lando
- Homebrew
- Fish shell
- PHP upgrade to version 8.1
- Free Download Manager
- WP Local Development
- Deja Dup
Prerequisites Ubuntu operating system (Debian Based OS) Internet connection Usage Clone or download this repository to your Ubuntu/POP!_OS machine.
Open a terminal and navigate to the downloaded directory.
Make the installation script executable by running the following command:
bash Copy code chmod +x install.sh
Run the script by executing the
following command:
bash Copy code ./install.sh
The script will start installing the
software packages automatically.
Once the installation is complete, you will see a completion message.
Please note that this script assumes a fresh Ubuntu installation and requires a network connection. It may also require additional dependencies or steps for certain software installations.
