Raredb is a database technology inspired by CouchDB. The best parts of CouchDB are the REST interface and Replication. The immediate aim is to have *a* REST interface and *a* replication technology. Initially no compatibility with CouchDB is planned. However this can be a goal for the future and is not ruled out.
