MeuDeputado is an iOS app that offers a convenient way to track Brazilian Congressman expenses. Powered by the official site of the Câmara dos Deputados (https://www.camara.leg.br/), the app provides monthly updates of all public expenses made by members of the legislature.
This version represents a significant overhaul, or better saying, a brand-new app built upon the foundations of the original version. This repository was created in 2020 and has since been updated to replace the previous version that only supports iOS 9 and Swift 2.
In order to align with the objectives of this project and promote transparency, we have made it open source. This not only allows for greater community involvement, but also serves as a valuable source of best engineering practices for all to benefit from.
The first iteration of Meu Deputado was developed by a group of five colleagues as a final project from Apple's Developer Academy and was launched for iOS in late 2015. Following its successful release, the app was made available on the Play Store as well. You can find the original version on the App Store and Play Store. Upon its launch, MeuDeputado received national attention and was even televised, as seen on https://globoplay.globo.com/v/5156089/.
