The Advent of Code is an annual event ran and created by Eric Wastl, with a new coding challenge released every day at midnight EST/UTC-5 (for our timezone, CST, this is 11:00 PM). Every year since 2015, thousands of people worldwide join to compete and have fun! Some statistics:
- 2015: ~4,000 people joined
- 2016: ~21,700 peopled joined
