I run the command on ubuntu 14.02, it shows follow error.

Reading package lists... Error!                                                
Segmentation fault

and my python version is Python 2.7.6.

@hzb this is something very interesting - you've got Segmentation fault while reading the package lists. Is everything else okay on your system?
