Investigating Network Similarity for The Analysis of Cichlid Subspecies Behaviour

This project is part of my bachelor thesis at the University of Konstanz. The project is a collaboration with Etienne Lein and Dr. Alex Jordan from the Lab for the Evolution of Social and Adaptive Behaviour and the Max-Planck Institute for Ornithology. The provided behaviour data of cichlids is derived from BORIS, an event-logging software.

Website

The website to analyze animal behaviour data is available at https://analyze-behavior.herokuapp.com/. Different networks may be generated and parameterized by the user (behavioural biologist)

Network Types

  1. Data inspection

2. Interaction Network

  1. Transition probability network

  1. Trajectory plot

5. Distance Network

Comparison of Transition probability network

The website offers functionality to download and compare different transition probability networks with different graph measures
