A roller skating social media app.

I picked up roller skating over the pandemic as a way to get outdoors. I was overwhelemed with information such as which skates to get, what basics to practice first, and what type of skating I wanted to do.

This app serves as a platform to connect with rollerskaters through progress posts.

I'd like to implement a map feature where rollerskaters can pin their favourite skate spots around the world. Also I'd like to implemement a review feature on roller skates and everything associated with it (wheels, bearings, accessories).

Install

npm install

Things to add

  • Create a .env file and add the following as key = value
    • PORT = 2121 (can be any port example: 3000)
    • DB_STRING = your database URI
    • CLOUD_NAME = your cloudinary cloud name
    • API_KEY = your cloudinary api key
    • API_SECRET = your cloudinary api secret

Run

npm start
