Linguistic Accomodation on Reddit
The psycholinguistic theory of accommodation states that participants in conversations tend to non-consciously converge to one another’s communicative behaviour: pitch, choice of words, gestures etc. Using the theoretical framework from [1], we implement measures of linguistic accommodation and apply them to a large diverse dataset of Reddit comments.
