Displaying plugin banner without the exclamation mark (!)

I've been using this plugin, but I've noticed that it only works with the exclamation mark (!) in front. The problem is, I need to use it without the exclamation mark because I'm using the metadata menu for media. Do you know if there's a way to render the banner without the exclamation mark?
