Using CSS colors (solid or gradient) instead of images

I think it will be cool to add support for using colors/gradients as banners.
This is not necessary & currently I use this easy hack: just use an image of the color I want, and it will fill up the space. However, having the ability to choose a color (either via entering hex code or RGB or maybe a color picker), makes it easier, especially on mobile.

I would also like this feature! It would be great if we could specify a colour in the frontmatter instead of an image link.
