sort banner images by recency

I've got a lot of photos I'd like to use as banners, and I think an intuitive way to sort them would be by their last modified date, could we make this happen?

I would also like the images to be ordered, in my case they would be the last ones added to obsidian. Perhaps an option to configure it would be interesting.
