The artwork uses 50 chosen paintings from the Finnish National Gallery collection. The curation focuses on portraits, impressionist landscapes, and Karelianist heritage, among others, which reflect the themes of individualism, subjectivity, folklore, fantasy, impression.
The image is then transformed using GLSL shaders. The molten glass reflection of the colors and shapes are achieved using a modification of Worley noise.
