Concept

With Glimbos you can create your own beat by interacting with a bunch of quirky little charaacters that all have their unqiue sounds. There is no endgoal, no challenge and no tasks, with Glimbos its all about relaxing and enjoying life and its creations, you are here to create something beautiful and are presented with the tools to do so.

Debriefing

A front-end for musical instrument sounds that generate music visualizations based on data. You want to give the user the chance to adjust the end result. During this project, a user wants to be able to play multiple sounds at the same time to generate a nice beat.

Work process

On Teusday we discussed what we were going to do and what we wanted to make, we decided to all make a creature that is going to sing when clicked on and a beat is added. When everyone was done with designing a creature we made a design for the website we were going to make. In the sketches you can see what it was going to look like. During designing and coding the design changed a little. Here you can see some images of the design process:

Design 1 First version This design felt a little boring, so in the next design we added some doodles in the background. This makes it more playfull. For the users was it not clear that you could click on the creatures, so we also added a click us.

Design 2 Second version We got feedback on this design that the blue background color was too bold for the eyes. So we changed it to a dark gray color. With this color the creatures more attention.

Drawings, sketches and important images

Before we started designing we made a few sketches of our characters and how the site was going to look like. Below you can see some of the sketches we made.
