Link Vault is a Chrome extension that allows you to save and manage URLs in your personal vault for easy access. It provides a convenient way to store and organize your favorite links, making it effortless to revisit them whenever needed.

Features

  • Save URLs: Easily add URLs to your vault by either typing them or using the "Open Tab" button, which automatically captures the currently active tab's URL.
  • Edit URLs: You can edit any saved URL by clicking the "Edit" button next to it and providing the new URL.
  • Delete URLs: Double-click the "Delete" button to remove a URL from your vault.
  • Sorting Options: Choose between sorting the URLs by date or alphabetically for better organization.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository or download the source code.
  2. Open Google Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the top right corner.
  4. Click on "Load Unpacked" and select the directory where you cloned/downloaded the source code.
  5. The Link Vault extension will be added to Chrome, and you can start using it.

Usage

  1. Click on the Link Vault extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.
  2. Add a new URL by entering it into the input field and clicking the "Add" button, or use the "Open Tab" button to automatically capture the active tab's URL.
  3. Your saved URLs will be displayed in a list, and you can click on them to open them in new tabs.
  4. To edit a URL, click the "Edit" button next to it, enter the new URL in the prompt, and click "OK".
  5. To delete a URL from your vault, double-click the "Delete" button next to it.
  6. You can also sort the URLs by date or alphabetically using the sorting dropdown menu.
  7. Import URLs from external sources by clicking the "Import" button and following the instructions to upload a CSV file or connect to another lead management system.
  8. Export your vault by clicking the "Export" button and selecting the desired format (CSV or JSON) to backup or share your saved URLs.
  9. Gain insights into your link usage and user engagement by accessing the analytics and insights section, where you can view statistics about access frequency, popular links, and more.
  10. Customize the Link Vault extension by accessing the settings or preferences section, where you can choose themes, adjust layout settings, and personalize the user interface to suit your preferences.
