I could not understand how to use the new version of this plugin.

So I was trying to upgrade the background remover and wound up installing the new plugin which is way worse. It no longer allows me to select the background color and shows up under effect filter rather than audio/video filters. The contouring is way off and the plugin is removing parts of my head and shoulders. No tweaking of the setting is working to show my entire head and I had to cancel a video I was gonna make with a partner project today. I have tried for 2 hours to find a way to get this to look right. I put up a green screen too and that didnt help at all. What can I do to fix this?

with the new plugin we don't allow selecting the background color - you can simply add a "Color Source" or "Image Source" behind the camera
You can try other models like Robust Video Matting which are more accurate, you may also want to try the TCMonoDepth model and change the threshold

Yes. I found my original download it the old version and reinstalled it.
The new version is shit compared to it. Hope I never need to update
