Reviewer #2 is the infamous character in the academic world who takes revenge on their peers through overly critical rejections of papers. Reviewer 2 is usually grumpy, harsh, unhelpful, and unwilling to give the benefit of the doubt.
The goal of the Reviewer2 package is to create a review generator that mimic Reviewer #2’s harsh commenting style based on online posts in the academic community, such as https://shitmyreviewerssay.tumblr.com/. The package offers a unique function for each section of an academic paper (e.g., title, introduction, literature review, etc.).
You can install the released version of Reviewer2 from CRAN with:
install.packages("Reviewer2")
And the development version from GitHub with:
# install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("okanbulut/Reviewer2")
This is a basic example which shows you how to solve a common problem:
library("Reviewer2")
## basic example code
What is special about using README.Rmd
instead of just README.md
?
You can include R chunks like so:
summary(cars)
You’ll still need to render README.Rmd
regularly, to keep README.md
up-to-date. devtools::build_readme()
is handy for this. You could also
use GitHub Actions to re-render README.Rmd
every time you push. An
example workflow can be found here:
https://github.com/r-lib/actions/tree/master/examples.
You can also embed plots, for example:
In that case, don’t forget to commit and push the resulting figure files, so they display on GitHub and CRAN.
