LDOCE5 Viewer (PyQt5, Python3)

This project is ported to PyQt5 which supports retina (HiDPI) display.

The LDOCE5 Viewer is an alternative dictionary viewer for the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English 5th Edition (LDOCE 5). It was originally written by Taku Fukada and now forked by oldherl.

It use PyQt5 as the GUI toolkit, so it should run on Linux, macOS and Microsoft Windows. However, only Arch Linux is tested at the moment and I have no interest in supporting Windows and macOS.

This software is free and open source software licensed under the terms of GPLv3.

Installation

on Arch Linux

You can find a PKGBUILD at https://github.com/archlinuxcn/repo/blob/master/archlinuxcn/ldoce5viewer-oldherl-git/PKGBUILD which is also used to build a package in archlinuxcn third-party repo.
