To solve the problem of having to maintain a single large snippets file in Atom. This plugin/repo also makes it much easier to share between people/teams.
- All snippets must be supported by browsers 2011 (IE9) onwards after Babel compilation.
- No duplicate snippets, i.e. no duplicates between lodash and pure ES6.
Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/olliecaine27/atom-snippets
CD in
cd atom-snippets
Symlink the repo to Atom's packages folder
ln -s "$(pwd -P)" ~/.atom/packages/atom-snippets
Install the package into Atom using Terminal
apm install
apm link
Restart Atom to load the package (it should appear in Preferences->Packages).
Test by opening a JavaScript file in Atom and typing 'rcs' (React Component Skinny) and hitting tab. The following code should appear:
export default class extends React.Component {
render () {
return (
<div>Component content</div>
)
}
}
