Introduction

Welcome to the RenalDB! This database application, designed to help you manage paediatric renal data. This application was created using Laravel and Livewire. Whether you are a doctor, a specialist this app is the perfect solution for organizing and accessing paediatric renal data. Collebarated with the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians to create this app.

Getting Started

To get started with our database app, follow these simple steps:

Installation

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/pc-dissanayake/renal_db.git
  2. Navigate to the Project Directory:

    cd renal_db
  3. Install Dependencies:

    • Install PHP dependencies with Composer:

      composer install
    • Install JavaScript dependencies with npm or Yarn:

      npm install
      # or
      yarn
  4. Environment Configuration:

    • Copy the example environment file:

      cp .env.example .env
    • Edit the .env file to configure your environment variables, including database settings.

  5. Generate Application Key:

    Generate a new application key:

    php artisan key:generate
  6. Database Migration:

    Run database migrations and seed the database:

    php artisan migrate --seed
  7. Start the Development Server:

    Start the Laravel development server:

    php artisan serve

    Your Laravel application should now be accessible at http://localhost:8000.
