item_input can't remove secondary author

It happens sometimes after importing items from plugin searches, when data comes in bad formats so you have to doublecheck item fields.
When I try to remove secondary author, leaving the field blank, "authors must be specified" popups without any solution. As a workaround I used to duplicate primary author.

Need to configure secondary author to not be compulsory should be in the
item type admin tool config

The secondary author is not even a part of the official book item type.

Sorry, but as "seconday author" I mean "co-author", when you have a book written by two hands...not another author field....I saw you can add other authors, but not remove, so I missed to look inside admin menu! But "must be specified" maybe had to drive me in the "compulsory stuff" direction!
