Cardographer Analyser is a Miro plugin that helps users improve their work with digital card-based ideation work. This plugin is an extension of the original Cardographer project on card usage data analysis, and it is intended to help users gain insight quickly and easily by examining visual card association data and smart suggestion.
For a complete Analyser experience, please ensure you understand the following prerequisites before using.
- Read document, ask for help in discord if you need further support
- Have a Miro account
- Use Chrome browser
- Have a Cardographer Platform account
- Understand how to use Cardographer Platform (link to help documentation)
You will need to register for a Cardographer Platform account in order to use the Analyser Plug-In. the following is the Cardographer Platform homepage and associated documentation:

Note that you will need to have an invitation code in order to register for the cardographer account at the moment. We will email you the code if you are a valid tester. You must not distributed the code to unauthorized parties.
If this is your first time using Cardographer Platform, please read the documentation and get a hands-on understanding of how to use Cardographer, such as how to make your own Card and Deck, and how to upload Snapshot files, before using the plugin. If you have enough information on the above, open the Miro board containing the Cardographer Card image and find the Cardographer Analyser icon in the vertical menu bar on the left and double click to open the Analyser screen. If you can't find the Analyser icon, click on the double arrow icon at the end of the menu bar and find the Analyser icon in the subsequent submenu and select it in the main menu.
You will need at least one session stored in the analyse file to enable the analyse function
- Create a blank "Analyse" file in Cardographer Platform (https://cardographer.cs.nott.ac.uk/platform/user/analyses)
- Open Cardographer Analyser plugin in Miro borad
- Click Data Import, Select the blank analyse file we just created
- Import that file, there will be no session imported from that analyse at the moment
- Create a template "session" in Cardographer Platform (https://cardographer.cs.nott.ac.uk/platform/user/sessions)
- Set the deck of the session
- Open Cardographer Plugin (the original one) in Miro board
- Add any card you want to use for ideation
- After ideation, open Cardographer Analyser plugin
- Follow the instruction in Session Export (https://alvin-peng-1.gitbook.io/cardographer-analyser/guides/session-export) to export your session
For the future usage(sessions), you only need to repeat steps 4 and 5. You can change analyse file by selecting different analyse file in Data Import Page.
You will need to repeat step 3.2 and 3.3 only if you want to add more card.
