Background Information

The website has a "main" and "cran-release" version, but I don't see the need for both. I think we can get by with just one of them. It would also be nice to include a dev version of the site (this is a built-in feature to pkgdown we can just "turn on" if we migrate to the typical branching structure).

Definition of Done

  • remove extraneous versions of the website
  • add dev version

I agree - since both are the same thing, and given that admiral's branching strategy sets $main$ as the stable version.
