Lab 3 – Wireshark

Goals

  • Get experience with Wireshark
  • Review how HTTP works
  • Learn about various aspects of the 802.11 protocol

Description

We will be using the Wireshark Labs from the authors of the book Computer Networking, Kurose and Ross. There are a lot of labs, but we will be doing three of them: Getting Started, HTTP and 802.11. For these three labs, you must answer the questions throughout the labs.

Requirements

  • Finish Getting Started lab and answer the questions at the bottom. Answer questions 1 - 4 under the "What to hand in" heading. For question 4, you can just print to PDF.
  • Finish HTTP lab and answer questions 1 - 19.
  • Finish 802.11 lab and answer questions 1 - 16.
