Can you explain more your problem? If you install Pymacs as described here on Ubuntu or Debian, everything works fine. Remember, you need to install rope, ropemacs via pip, Python's Pymacs via Github and Makefile, Emacs's pymacs via package-install.

I am facing the same issue. I did exactly as specified in the answer but when I run pymacs-eval, I get the same error message.
I am doing this on Mac OSX.
