Support for system software 2.9 on rM1

This is the twin issue of #10 but for rM1.
The server starts, sends the initial fb, and responds to cursor events, but does not send updates.
My guess is that the damage kernel module is not receiving the updates as it was in previous versions.
I can test patches if needed.
