Gadget not working

I removed most of my plugins on my PC include the Gadget since there were too many of them.
After I installed the Gadget back, it turned out to not working.
How can I fix it?

I have the same question on both of my computers while I did nothing with my plugins. It can't work either. By the way, my OS is Cent OS 6.9 and Cent OS 7.4. My python version is 2.6.6 and 2.7.5

It seems that it’s not just me alone, I sent an email to the author, but I still have no reply. At first I thought it was a bug caused by the Windows 10 1809 version, but it seems that I am wrong!
