/precision

A python pipeline to reduce astronomical IR imaging data. Written with SPHERE data in mind, it provides a fast and easy reduction of bright sources suitable for science. While it may not extract the absolute maximum amount of science, the objective is to provide a means to get science-ready data with minimal computing time or human interaction. Development is ongoing.

README

PRECISION is designed for use in reducing astronomical infrared observations. It is a work in progress, just like this README file. The objective is to make it as close to a fully-automated pipeline as possible for SPHERE, NACO, VISIR and if possible other instruments too. This README file is currently a placeholder until I have a more complete set of things to document.

  • Contributions are welcome. In particular, if you use PRECISION for an instrument not included, I would appreciate it if you would either send me the routines and allow me to modify them for inclusion, or make a pull request so that it can be brought into the main code
