This map shows the worldwide location of Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. The data the maps consumes comes from Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Cases, provided by JHU CSSE. We do not own the data source and suggest using any data source of your choice.
The map is based on Microsoft Azure Maps. You must obtain an Azure Maps key in order to display the map.
See the instructions at the beginning of this tutorial here. Add your key to the top of the scripts/index.html file where it says '<Your Azure Maps Key>'
.
This project uses the Azure Maps Web SDK which primarily uses map tiles from Azure Maps. Azure Maps provides a generous volume of free usage under the S0 SKU (250,000 transactions a month), which will likely be more than enough for majority of scenarios using this dashboard. A trial subscription for Azure can also be created to receive an additional $200 in Azure credits for 30 days (~400,000 more transactions with Azure Maps).
