Reason for request

I lost 2FA authentication and security tokens. I registered a long time ago and I switched some phones in the meantime.

I can verify my identity in any way needed.

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi @elpideus,

In order to start the account recovery process to reset your 2FA and recovery codes, your account needs to have a valid/active link to a public repo of your project. Unfortunately, when I took a look into your account, there was no such active link.

What I can offer as a workaround is for you to send an email to support@pypi.org confirming your intent to reset your 2FA and recovery codes with a link to this issue (#5320). There will be a 7 day wait period from that email as part of our verification/security policy, after which we will go ahead and reset your account and go from there.

I actually had a repo linked but I deleted it. Is there a way to see the history?

Edit: Okay, no need, I found it.

It's the first one. (This is the reason I tried to login back to pypi in the first place...)

Hi @elpideus,

Understood, I do think since the repo is not linked to your PyPI account, the 7 day wait period option is the way to go. Please send an email to support@pypi.org confirming your intent to reset your 2FA and recovery codes with a link to this issue (#5320). There will be a 7 day wait period from that email as part of our verification/security policy, after which we will go ahead and reset your account and go from there. Thanks.
