i found it would be failed when initialize MeterLogger server with http:// head.

>>> a = MeterLogger(server="http://localhost", port=8097, env='hello')
>>> b = torch.Tensor([1])
>>> a.updateLoss(b, 'loss')
>>> a.resetMeter(mode='Train', iepoch=1)

Error message here

Yes, No need of “http://“, the MeterLogger provides the “http://“. just server=“localhost” is ok.

@barrykui but 'http://localhost' is the default value of server.

kuixu commented

Yes.
So if your visdom is running on localhost with the port 8097, just
a = MeterLogger(env='hello')

Only when the visdom is running on other server or other port, you should specify the IP address
and the port.

@barrykui i mean that the default value should be localhost instead of http://localhost.

kuixu commented

It is localhost in the code.
