A RAD template with Datomic Free preconfigured. Relatively easy to swap out back-end.
Clone this repository (it is a template repo), and then use the rename-project.sh
script to set your desired package name:
$ ./rename-project.sh com.my-domain.app-name
Be sure to use hyphens, NOT underscores. The rename script will correct the filenames accordingly.
The project should now build and run.
You must compile the CLJS source to run the client. If you want to be able to edit it, just start a shadow-cljs watch:
$ yarn
$ shadow-cljs watch main
if you don’t have yarn
, use npm install
instead.
The server in this template uses an in-memory datomic-free database. You can start it from the REPL by including the
deps :dev
alias.
$ clj -A:dev
user=> (clojure.core/require 'development)
user=> (development/start)
There are stop
, start
, fast-restart
, and restart
functions in development
.
The restart
function will stop the server, reload all source, and start it again. You can often get by
with manually evaluating functions with a running server, but if you modify something that is closed over during
start (such as a function that is embedded in the middleware) you’ll have to load the appropriate files and stop/start.
While the source is small it is often less hassle to just use restart
.
