Install Linux headers and sources (required for
drivers/leds/leds.h
):sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) linux-source

Extract the Linux sources:
(cd /usr/src && sudo tar -xJf linux-source-*.tar.xz)

Clone and install this module's sources:
git clone https://github.com/qu1x/ledtrig-usbdev.git sudo mv ledtrig-usbdev /usr/src/ledtrig-usbdev-1.0.0

Build and install this module:

Either via Make (must be manually rebuilt for each kernel update):
sudo make -C /usr/src/ledtrig-usbdev-1.0.0 install

Or via DKMS (will be automatically rebuilt for each kernel update):

Install DKMS:
sudo apt-get install dkms

Install this module:
sudo dkms install ledtrig-usbdev/1.0.0
