Phisify Chrome Extension
Phisify is a web browser extension designed to enhance email security by leveraging the power of the MailChecker library. It scans web pages for email addresses and provides notifications about potentially suspicious addresses, helping users identify and avoid phishing and spam emails.
Installation
Developer Mode (Zipped Folder)
- Download the Phisify extension files in a zipped folder.
- Extract the zipped folder to reveal the extension files.
- In Google Chrome, open the Extensions page by typing "chrome://extensions/" into the address bar and pressing Enter.
- Enable Developer mode using the toggle switch in the top-right corner.
- Click "Load unpacked" and select the directory with the extracted Phisify extension files.
- Click "Select Folder" to install Phisify in developer mode.
- The Phisify extension icon will appear in your browser's toolbar.
Normal Installation
- Visit the Chrome Web Store. Pendinng Approval
- Search for "Phisify."
- Click "Install" on the Phisify extension store page.
- Follow on-screen prompts to confirm the installation.
- Phisify will be added to your Chrome browser's toolbar.
Usage
- Once installed, Phisify works automatically, scanning web pages for email addresses.
- If it detects a suspicious email address, it will provide a notification in the form of a red badge on the extension icon.
- Click on the extension icon to see the list of flagged email addresses.
- Review flagged addresses and take appropriate action, such as marking as spam or avoiding interaction.
