Scilab is a free software, released under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) v2.0. Scilab was originally licensed under the terms of the CeCILL v2.1 and continues to be available under such terms. For more information, see the COPYING file.
Scilab is also using some codes with other licenses. Please see SCI/modules/*/license.txt for details.
Unpack Scilab and call the execution script:
./bin/scilab
Advanced command line interpreter (GUI, help browser, Tcl/Tk...):
./bin/scilab-adv-cli
Command line interpreter:
./bin/scilab-cli
