Unsure what I'm doing wrong with Toon base shader

Hi, I'm new to Ray MMD and I just want to start off by saying that all the videos I've seen using this shader are absolutely beautiful and what you've created is wonderful.

I'm trying the Toon shader configuration and downloaded the application "Sublime Text" to edit the files. I edited the config file to look like this:
settings

And edited the material 2.0.fx file to look like this:
help

I opened Ray.x along with skybox and model and Ray controller.pmx. I open Envlight tab and on skybox, I loaded "skylighting_none"
I put edited material 2.0 on model in material tab and opened orange outline.fx in outline tab on model subsets. I'm unsure what I am doing wrong but my models look like this:
manxc
I don't think I'm doing it right or if it's my computer but the samples you displayed look stunning and I want to achieve similar.
I'm not computer expert so I'm unsure if it's my computer or if it is me doing something wrong but I'm unable to get it right. I guess I need simple words to understand how to do this but I will try my best to understand. I appreciate any help, thank you!

CustomA and CustomB help you edit shadow roughness and brightness
I think CustomB is responsible for brightness, you can also make it floatb with different colors...

Thanks so much for replying MarieRose1301!
Are there any custom A and Custom B settings that you would recommend? I forgot to mention this, but when I tried turning Custom A and B settings to 9 as well, I got a pop up on MMD saying that option 9 was unsupported and it didn't let me open the fx. :/ idk if my computer just can't handle 9 or if I misread and there is another number range I am supposed to use.

@IPMMD sorry for a very late reply
here's my skin material:
