Shaded texture and lighting issues, please help!

Hello!

I was needing help with Raycast Shader and the way it looks on this particular outfit I downloaded. The whole bathing suit is all one material itself and isn't split up at all and the whole bathing suit is supposed to be white, but when I put any of the main.fx files on the model, the top frill on the swimsuit is shaded.

I tried messing with the light settings but nothing worked. So, I loaded the point light and when I turned up all the values to make it shine, her top frill began to have light shine on it...but the point light was still on the ground at her feet. I moved it up a bit but below her top and it still had light shining on it even though it wasn't shining in that direction.

After that, I shined the light above her top frill and it was shaded yet again.

It's as if the lighting was reversed on only that top frill and I don't know how to fix it. Has this happened before?? Is there a way to fix it???

EDIT: I have never worked with normals or have even had to worry about them before until just now after I found a tutorial about what normals were and how to fix them. The normals on the top frill were reversed and that's what was causing it. It's fixed now.
