The Rackspace Private Cloud Engineering Team is looking for a range of skills and roles. Our team is responsible for developing and improving the Rackspace Private Cloud powered by OpenStack product. We are focused on building and using open and innovative technologies to deploy and maintain reliable, stable, and scalable private cloud installations built on OpenStack. Team members are located in San Antonio, Austin, the UK, Australia, and several remote (work from home) locations.
Our team started the open source community for deploying OpenStack with Ansible and continues to contribute to the following projects:
Additionally, we regularly have the opportunity to speak and contribute at open source conferences such as OpenStack, PyTennessee, PyTexas, StirTrek, and many others:
- The Good and the Bad of the OpenStack REST APIs @ OpenStack Summit Vancouver 2015
- Managing logging in your OpenStack environment
- Deploying OpenStack with Ansible
- Cutting Off the Internet: Testing Applications that Use Requests
- Getting Started As An OpenStack Contributor
If you believe that this kind of challenge is for you, then we want to talk to you! Please take a look at this repository for open jobs. We would love to hear from you if you are interested and up to the challenge.
Don't be daunted by skills / requirements! If you even know 70% of what we've outlined, you're welcome to apply. Our team thrives on mentoring one another and growing. Of course, if you're senior, we expect you to mentor developers earlier in their careers
