About Me
You probably just want to take a look at my work, but let me give you some context first.
These days, I am actively seeking to join an exciting team to help solve real world problems. I got into computer science in general, because I love that once a problem is solved, its solution can be saved to allow for continuous progress and development. A particular passion of mine is bringing security solutions to everyday development. While I consider myself a software developer first, I like to approach my work from the mindset of a security penetration tester. I treat security like a first-class citizen, opting to assume my code will be used in a hostile environment. You can trust me to always proactively approach a problem with security in mind and automation in view.
I am ...
- self-motivated and continually seek to learn new skills.
- enthusiastic about defensive security.
- an analytical, and often divergent-thinker, but with a laser like focus on my current problem.
- a skeptic of technology who believes in Murphy's Law and test-driven development.
- a curious and questioning learner who loves a variety of defendable perspectives to fuel my problem solving skills.
- often curious about things beyond the scope of my role in order to better understand the context of my solutions.
- only human.
I attained my B.S. in computer science back in 2013.
Some highlights
from my skill set are:
Security is my passion.
Given the slightest provocation I am known to go on evangelical code review tangents about security.
- Smart cards
- Network Security Appliances
- Anti-network Reconnaissance.
- Automation is my friend.
- I have experience developing portable POSIX and FHS compliant scripts for a variety of tasks.
While
I can probably still churn out a bash script faster I prefer the more readable and maintainable python scripts these days.
