The Readium community has developed several industrial open standards for publications:
- Readium Web Publication Manifest - specifies a JSON manifest format for distributing publications on the Web.
- Readium Licensed Content Protection or LCP - specifies an interoperable DRM scheme for packaged publications.
- Readium License Status Document or LSD - specifies a JSON document and REST protocol that provides additional controls over a DRM license.

Readium Desktop is a toolkit for ebooks, PDF documents, audiobooks and comics written Typescript, using node.js and Electron.js, for use on Windows, MacOS and Linux.
