##setup env

Add the folowing to project level build.gradle:

add to the bottom of android/app/build.gradle file

apply plugin: 'com.google.android.gms.strict-version-matcher-plugin'

  ...
  missingDimensionStrategy 'react-native-camera', 'mlkit'

add faceDetection\android\app\src\main\AndroidManifest.xml


  <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.CAMERA"></uses-permission>
    /* Include this only if you are planning to use the microphone for video recording */
    <application
    ...
      <meta-data 
      android:name="com.google.firebase.ml.vision.DEPENDENCIES"
      android:value="face" />

For IOS

Add dependency towards react-native-camera in your Podfile with subspecs using one of the following:

pod 'react-native-camera', path: '../node_modules/react-native-camera', subspecs: [
  'FaceDetectorMLKit'
]

Add permission in your Podfile with subspecs using one of the following:

target 'YourAwesomeProject' do

  # …
  
  permissions_path = '../node_modules/react-native-permissions/ios'
  pod 'Permission-Camera', :path => "#{permissions_path}/Camera"

Add permissions with usage descriptions to your app Info.plist:
