EPI (Environmental Performance Index)

Objective / Issue Category: Environmental Health / Health Impacts

What EPI Measures:

Summary: Environmental risk exposure evaluates how much of the burden of disease observed in a given year can be attributed to past exposure to environmental risk factors, which include: unsafe water (unsafe sanitation); air pollution (ambient particulate matter pollution, household air pollution, and ozone pollution). These estimates are calculated for 188 countries. https://sedac.ciesin.columbia.edu/

This repository is a exploration of the Environmental Performance Index. The file epi.R contains R code to load the dataset 2016-epi.xlsx and plot the data. The data will be updated to show particular regions of EPI.
