Overview

Carp is an open-source registry for discovering, pulling, and publishing Claude AI agents. The platform includes a web interface, serverless REST API, and Rust CLI tool for agent management.

Installation

# Install from crates.io
cargo install carp-cli

# Or build from source
git clone https://github.com/refcell/carp
cd carp/cli
cargo build --release

Usage

# Global flags (available for all commands)
carp --verbose <command>    # Enable verbose output
carp --quiet <command>      # Suppress all output except errors
carp --api-key <key> <command>  # Provide API key (or use CARP_API_KEY env var)

# Check API health
carp healthcheck

# List all available agents
carp list

# Search for agents
carp search <query>
carp search <query> --limit 10
carp search <query> --exact

# Pull an agent (interactive selection if no name provided)
carp pull [agent-name[@version]]
carp pull agent-name --output ./output/
carp pull agent-name --force

# Upload agents from directory (prompts for directory if not provided)
carp upload --directory ~/.claude/agents/

carp auth login     # Login with API key
carp auth status    # Show authentication status
