This is a repository for web-midi-2, which hopes to some day extend or complement the current Web MIDI API with support for MIDI 2.0 features.

MIDI 2.0 Features

According to midi.org, there are a number of new features available in MIDI 2.0:

  5. Multiple profiles per device
  6. Property Exchange providing detailed device info & settings
  7. Universal MIDI Packet format
    1. Designed for multiple transports such as USB or Ethernet
