This repo is imported from my original SourceForge repo, https://sourceforge.net/projects/beckhoffdriver/

While writing the example code I found a nasty bug in the kernel driver code the call to the ioctl IOCTL_BHKLDRV_BOARDMAP does not check the input and can be overflowed causing kernel problems when you try to read. Easily fixed in the driver with a check of the input data.

The driver should be ported to the 4.0 kernel at some stage or preferably added as a bitbake recipe to a yocto build.

Looking at the current Beckhoff catalogue (26/07/2016) to use this software with Linux on a beckhoff controller you would need to purchase the CX1020-0000 or the CX1020-0100 with the CX1100-0002 power supply.

I do not have access to the hardware anymore and am as such unable to do much work on this project. With access to the hardware it would not take long to upgrade and fix the driver and wrapper code.
