It is a hostel management and complaint system, i.e. it is a software that helps the user to manage the hostel records in digital form. It containts features to manage records of hostelers, staffs and complaints. Having such records in digital form makes their management easy and also querying on them becomes a lot easier.
Hostel is what becomes home-like for the hostelers, it is like living in a nest where the staffs are supposed to work like the birds keeping their children feel warm and comfy. Hence, the name warm-nest.
The project is open source, thus you can contribute or modify as per your needs, reporting bugs and suggesting features is also considered as a contribution to the development of the project.
The project is made using Qt for frontend and mariadb for backend, and is supposed to be crossplatform.
*This is the development branch and contains testing functions, unstable code and features that are not completely developed. To get a stable version visit the release branch of the repository.
Although the software has basic functionalities, it lacks on some important features that are currently under development and are to be added in the future release. Some of them are: -> make hostelers and staffs records updatable (some or all fields?) -> sort and filter queries on fields. -> data entry from JSON files. -> flexibility in table schemas to fullfill different needs of end users, (currently it can be done by changing the source code only, a more user-friendly approach is yet to be added).
