You probably already noticed this, but looking at the GitHub version of slides.md actually works pretty well as an outline view of a talk.

PS: This also gives us a hacky way to print slides, in case you have a committee that wants a paper copy...

For the record, I had to print to file, then print from the output PDF. There was some memory limit in my printer that was not happy with direct from HTML printing.

very hacky. Not pretty. But it seems to do the trick (minus the latex)

Did you ever try using pandoc to covert the markdown to something else?

Yeah, I should try throwing it through pandoc, you're right

Doesn't seem to work as well.

Fair enough. The way the slide titles are put into the file are not really "standard" markdown.
