This is a simple Android application that provides a stopwatch functionality with a timer display, beeping sound, and start, stop, and reset buttons. It was developed for historic car continuity races.
- Timer Display: The app displays the elapsed time in seconds and milliseconds.
- Start Button: Starts the timer and begins updating the timer display. It also initiates the beeping sound.
- Stop Button: Stops the timer and the beeping sound.
- Reset Button: Resets the timer to 00:000 letting the ongoing timer or beeping sound.
- Beeping Sound: The app produces a beeping sound every second while the timer is running.
To install and run the app on your Android device or emulator, follow these steps:
- Clone the repository or download the source code.
- Open the project in Android Studio.
- Connect your Android device or start an emulator.
- Build and run the app on your device or emulator.
- Launch the app on your Android device or emulator.
- Tap the "Start" button to begin the timer.
- The timer display will update every 10 milliseconds, showing the elapsed time.
- After the first second, the app will start beeping every second.
- To stop the timer and the beeping sound, tap the "Stop" button.
- To reset the timer to 00:000 but not to stop any ongoing timer or beeping sound, tap the "Reset" button.
