There is examples for passing PHP 5.* certification exam divided by topics. Almost all examples was taken from official Zend Certification Study Guide but some of them didn't work as described (see comments). Also in files like 5.5 and 5.6 you can see plays with generators and some relatevily fresh features of the language.
