Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

You will need to have the following software installed on your system:

  • Python (3.6 or later)
  • Django (2.2 or later)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository to your local machine:
git clone git@github.com:sarahhudaib/django-job-board.git
  1. Navigate to the project directory:
cd django-job-board
  1. Install the required dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
  1. Run the migrations to set up the database:
python manage.py migrate
  1. Create a superuser to access the admin panel:
python manage.py createsuperuser
  1. Run the development server:
python manage.py runserver
  1. Open a web browser and go to http://localhost:8000 to view the application.

Deployment

To deploy Django Job Board on a production server, you will need to set up a web server such as Apache or nginx, and a database server such as PostgreSQL. Please refer to the Django documentation for more information on deploying Django applications.
