A template project used to generate MicrosoftDocs doc repositories. Given a little bit of setup.
Specifically, it generates repositories that follow the "service oriented" design.
- Follow the onboarding documentation till you've populated
monikers
,docsets
, and have created adoc repo
. - Clone this repository and the generated doc repo. (henceforce known as
doc-repo
) - Evaluate the target documentation repo. Populate the
repo_configuration.json
with targeting information relevant to this PR. - Ensure a python version newer than 3 is present/activated. Invoke
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Invoke
python ./generation/generate.py
(locally viewable, gitignored) and copy over to the targetdoc repo
. Or executegenerate.ps1
.
NOTE: The repo_configuration.json
MUST exist at the root of the repo for the automation to work correctly.
Examples of configurations for all supported languages exist in the example_repo_configurations
folder. Merely copy their contents on repo_configuration.json
prior to invoking Step 5.
